With the rapid development of science and technology, the cameras produced are numerous in design and complicated in structure. New products are emerging. No matter how the complexity of various cameras changes, their basic structure is the same. The basic structure of a camera consists of four parts, the lens, the camera obscura, the body and the back. The lens is an imaging system that combines features into optical images.

The camera lens is made up of lenses. The number of lenses, lens coating and grinding technology, and the precision of the internal mechanical structure of the lens all determine the quality and pros and cons of the lens. There are many kinds of lenses. Each lens has unique functions, application scope and advantages. When buying a camera lens, you should choose according to the shooting needs.

Generally, there are standard lenses, wide-angle lenses, telephoto lenses, fish-eye lenses, reflective lenses, zoom lenses and special lenses.

Standard lenses belong to well-corrected positive light lenses. Its focal length is equal to or close to the diagonal of the frame of the negative used. Its angle of view is similar to that of human eyes. So, the imaging effect of standard lenses is similar to that of human eyes. The picture taken by standard lens is more real and natural. It is the most used lens.

Wide-angle lenses are lenses with viewing angles of about 70 to 90 degrees. The ultra-wide-angle lens refers to the angle of view of about 100 degrees. Its specific purpose is that even in a narrow environment, it can shoot a wider range of scenes. Its disadvantage is that the image distortion is large. So, attention should be paid to the possibility of deformation and distortion during close shooting.

Telephoto and ultra-telephoto lenses are called long focal length lenses. It has the function of a telescope. This kind of lens is conducive to absorbing the image of the combination of virtuality and reality. Its function is to make the front and back scenes on the picture compact. This is wonderful at portrait shooting.

Fish-eye lens is an extreme ultra-wide-angle lens. It is named for its huge angle of view like fish eyes. It has a large shooting-range, so the perspective of the scenery is exaggerated. And it makes the picture have a special interest.

Reflective lens is a kind of ultra-telephoto lens. The appearance is short and fat, half shorter than a telephoto lens with the same focal length. It is not only light, but also flexible and convenient to use. Its disadvantage is that it has only one aperture. It is unfavorable for controlling the depth of field.

Zoom lens can change the focus distance. It is an attractive lens. It can adjust the imaging ratio of the negative within a large range. The action is equivalent to that of several fixed focus lenses with different focal lengths.

The lens is more important than the camera body. Compared with the camera body, we can focus a little on the quality of the lens. When conditions permit, we can adjust the equipment.
