According to information provided by foreign media, Nikon may release 2 new SLR cameras in the next few months. You know Nikon's F bayonet was released in 1959 and has never been replaced. At present, there are many SLR users in the market who continue to use it. As long as you use Nikon camera, you can basically use the F bayonet lens released after 1959. You can imagine how big the market is. This may be the power source for Nikon to continue to release new cameras in 2021.

Perhaps it is because the affection of SLR cameras. Perhaps they can give up old users. Perhaps it is due to the large number of Nikon SLR users. It is due to Nikon's difficulty in giving up the glory of SLR. But the idea behind this shows Nikon is stubborn and responsible enough. Nikon may introduce two SLR cameras. Their models are D580, the successor of D500, and D880, the new generation of D850.

Nikon will release D880, the successor of D850 in the next few months. The D850 is already the absolute king of SLR in terms of the picture quality of the photos taken at present. I believe there is only one producer that can achieve this extreme. It is Nikon. The D850 does have a certain gap with the current mainstream cameras in video shooting. Live view is still not so useful. If only from the perspective of taking still photos, the D850 still can crush all the current full frame cameras.

The D880 will also continue to maintain this traditional advantage. It will continue to give full play to Nikon's strong image processing capability. It will improve the standard of video shooting. The specific configuration is as follows. Full frame back-illuminated image sensor of 55-47 megapixel. EXPEED 6 image processor. No fuselage anti-shake function is provided. Video specifications support up to 4K/60p. It is equipped with a 3.2-inch 2.36 million LCD screen and supports rollover and touch control. With the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth systems, the control becomes more convenient and faster.

The basic specifications of the D580 new SLR have been preliminarily confirmed. This model uses the image sensor of the previous generation. It still uses the APS-C image sensor with 20 megapixels. The picture quality will not be significantly different from that of the previous generation APS-C flagship SLR D500. It supports 14FPS high-speed continuous shooting performance. It supports CFexpress and SD dual card slot storage. It supports video specifications up to 4K60P. The fuselage costs about 2,000 US dollars.

Compared with D850, the CMOS of the new generation D880 has not been notably improved. It is equipped with 45 megapixel image sensors. It supports 14FPS high-speed continuous shooting as well as B-type CFexpress and SD dual card slot designs.

According to media reports, the D880 will add anti-shake function to the fuselage. Only a few SLR cameras are equipped with anti-shake. It is still doubtful whether Nikon will add anti-shake function to SLR cameras.

Let's look forward to Nikon's development in the future. Nikon already has a powerful Z-bayonet system. It has not given up the traditional SLR market.
